Chinmi, an orphan who lost his parents in a tidal wave, is a promising sumo wrestler. Even though he did very well in the junior championships, none of the sumo scouts were interested in signing him because of his body, which is unsuitable for sumo wrestling, and also because of his weird sumo style. But luck comes his way when a small sumo school owner shows an interest in him and decides to take Chinmi into his school. There Chinmi begins his training to become a yokozuna…

A romantic comedy about Fuwa, a guy living in a small apartment in overcrowded Tokyo, who wants to have a place of his own. Because of a building accident in their new office building, Fuwa’s company (5 employees) had to move into his apartment, right after he had moved to a larger place. And the new employee (Hiyama Izumi, a 15 year-old girl) had to move into Fuwa’s place, as she had just come from the country. Then Fuwa’s old girlfriend Tokiko, who had already gotten married, ran away from her husband and came to Fuwa’s place.

In the distant past, a ferocious monster plagued the land. This creature of fury was finally subdued when a traveler challenged it to a battle and drove a spear into its body, pinning it to a massive rock. A temple was built above it, and thus, the house of Aotsuki was founded. Fast forward to the present, when young Ushio Aotsuki unwittingly releases the beast and names him Tora, much to the monster’s dismay. Now, with plenty of stray demons wandering the city, Ushio must defeat the evil with the ancient spear, before being eaten by Tora as a snack!

Harumi’s your typical grade 9 girl. Sure, she still sleeps with her stuffed animal that she dubbed “Umetaro,” and her ability to sense snow before it falls is labelled as just plain “weird” by her friends, but otherwise, she’s your average girl just like any other. When her mother accidentally ruins her stuffed animal though by accidentally spilling coffee all over it, it sets the ball rolling for a series of events that changes her outlook on life. She even meets a young guy working at a local knick knacks shop who reminds her of her beloved Umetaro! As she gets to know him more, she begins to realize that there is someone out there in the world who’ll accept her for who she is.
