Because of a difficult family background, Jiwu enters college later than most of her peers. Quiet and reserved, she keeps to the edges of campus life, always feeling one step out of sync with everyone else. There is one person she cannot help noticing, Wuyeon, a boy who seems to shine wherever he goes. He stands at the center of every group, laughing easily, drawing people in without effort. Compared to him, Jiwu feels invisible, and so she hides her feelings, nursing a silent crush she believes will never reach him.
