Living in a humble, one-room thatched cottage with only his loyal white dog for company, 22-year-old Farmer wrapped up another exhausting day of tilling the fields and settled in for the night. Although exhaustion plunges him into a deep sleep, the quiet room is soon filled with breathless moans and muffled gasps. Thrashing beneath a worn blanket, the young man twists in feverish distress as the ties of his thin undergarments loosen, exposing his bare skin to the cool night air. Dripping with cold sweat and consumed by an inexplicable sensation, he spends night after night tormented in his sleep by an invisible presence. To understand who—or what—is driving this naive farmer to the edge, one must look back 99 days prior. Who could have guessed that sparing a seemingly helpless earthworm would spiral into a hundred-night ordeal of giving up his vital energy? Just what is this worm plotting?
